In 1932 a retrospective of Valadon's work with a preface by Édouard Herriot was held at the Galerie Georges Petit in Paris.
1933–1938
The Salon of Modern Women Artists and “Women Artists of Europe”
From 1933 to 1938 she exhibited at the Salon des Femmes Artistes Modernes, and in 1937 she took part in the exhibition “Les femmes artistes d'Europe” at the Jeu de Paume.
1934
Divorce from Utter, but not a break
Valadon and Utter regularly exhibited work together until they divorced in 1934, when she was almost seventy; they nonetheless continued a relationship until her death.
