그림 소개
Pichet et squelette is Picasso's 1945 painting from Paris, held by the Musée Picasso in that city. The jug and skeleton are painted in oils on canvas measuring 73 by 92.2 cm. The reverse is dated February 18, 1945, while the stretcher bears the initial P. In 1981 the painting travelled to Denmark's Louisiana Museum and London's Hayward Gallery.

Beginning of His Relationship with Françoise Gilot
After the liberation of Paris, the 63-year-old Picasso began a relationship with the young painter Françoise Gilot; their children Claude (1947) and Paloma (1949) were born. In 1953 Gilot left him, taking the children.

Picasso joined the French Communist Party and remained a member until the end of his life.
