この絵画について
『キリストの墓を訪れた三人のマリア』（キリストのはかをおとずれたさんにんのマリア、露: Святые жёны-мироносицы у гроба воскресшего Христа、英: The Three Marys at the Tomb）は、イタリアのバロック絵画の巨匠アンニーバレ・カラッチが1598年にキャンバス上に油彩で制作した絵画である。画面には、『新約聖書』中の「マルコによる福音書」 (16章1-6) に叙述されているイエス・キリストの墓を訪れた三人の女性たちが描かれている。作品はリュシアン・ボナポルトのものを含むいくつかのコレクションを経た後、1836年にサンクトペテルブルクのエルミタージュ美術館に購入され、以来同美術館に所蔵されている。

In 1587–88 Annibale is known to have travelled to Parma and then to Venice, where he joined his brother Agostino.

Cardinal Farnese summons the brothers to Rome
In 1594 Cardinal Odoardo Farnese invited Annibale and his brother Agostino to Rome to decorate the Palazzo Farnese with frescoes on mythological subjects.

Moves to Rome for good, into the Palazzo Farnese
Probably in September or October 1595 Carracci moved from Bologna to Rome for good and settled in the Palazzo Farnese.

Assistants at the Palazzo Farnese: the masters to come
Many of Annibale’s assistants and pupils on the projects at the Palazzo Farnese and the Herrera Chapel became pre-eminent artists of the next decades, among them Domenichino, Francesco Albani, Giovanni Lanfranco, Domenico Viola, Guido Reni and Sisto Badalocchio.
