この絵画について
『リナルドとアルミーダ』（仏: Renaud et Armide、英: Rinaldo and Armida）は、18世紀フランス・ロココ期の巨匠フランソワ・ブーシェが1734年にキャンバス上に油彩で制作した絵画である。1734年に王立絵画彫刻アカデミーに入会を認められたブーシェが、その際に提出したのが本作である。以降、作品は同アカデミーのコレクションにあったが、フランス革命中に接収され、1793年以来、パリのルーヴル美術館に所蔵されている。

Major Official Commissions for Versailles
He received major commissions for the decoration of the apartments of Versailles: The Royal Virtues (1735) in the Queen's chamber, hunting scenes for the Petits Appartements (1736), Venus and Vulcan (1747) in the Dauphin's apartments, and History for the Royal Library (1743–1746).

Marriage to Marie-Jeanne Buzeau
He married the seventeen-year-old actress Marie-Jeanne Buzeau, from whom many of his youthful "nymphs" were painted; the marriage produced three children, and his wife engraved his drawings.
