この絵画について
『オダリスク』（仏: L'Odalisque）、または『茶髪のオダリスク』（ちゃぱつのオダリスク、仏: L'Odalisque brune、英: The Brunette Odalisque）は、18世紀フランス・ロココ期の巨匠フランソワ・ブーシェが1745年にキャンバス上に油彩で制作した絵画である。1914年にバジール・ド・シュリシュタン (Basile de Schlichting) 男爵から遺贈されて以来、パリのルーヴル美術館に所蔵されている。なお、ブーシェの署名のある同構図のヴァージョンがランス美術館にもある。さらに、画家は、『ソファに横たわる裸婦』 (アルテ・ピナコテーク、ミュンヘン) を含む2点の別のオダリスクを主題とする絵画も制作している。

He received major commissions for the decoration of the apartments of Versailles: The Royal Virtues (1735) in the Queen's chamber, hunting scenes for the Petits Appartements (1736), Venus and Vulcan (1747) in the Dauphin's apartments, and History for the Royal Library (1743–1746).
