この絵画について
『ヤコブを祝福するイサク』（ヤコブをしゅくふくするイサク、露: Благословение Иакова, 英: Isaac Blessing Jacob）は、スペインのバロック絵画の巨匠バルトロメ・エステバン・ムリーリョが1665-1670年にキャンバス上に油彩で制作した絵画で、『ヤコブの夢』と対をなしている。両作とも、セビーリャのビリャマンリーケ侯爵のための連作『ヤコブの物語』に由来するが、ナポレオン戦争時代にスペインから流失した。これらの作品は、1811年にパリでドミニック・ヴィヴァン・ドゥノンを通して購入されて以来、エルミタージュ美術館に所蔵されている。エルミタージュ美術館には、他にもムリーリョと彼の工房による26点の作品が収蔵されている。

Return to Seville and Marriage
Murillo returned to Seville and married Beatriz Cabrera y Villalobos, with whom he had ten children; only one of them, Gabriel, followed his father's path as a painter.
1645–1648
First Major Commission
In the year of his wedding Murillo received his first major commission — eleven paintings of Franciscan saints for the Convent of San Francisco in Seville; he worked on them from 1645 to 1648.
1660
Co-founder of the Academy of Fine Arts
Murillo became one of the founders of the Academy of Fine Arts in Seville and in 1660 shared its direction with Francisco Herrera the Younger.
c. 1681 – 1682
Fall from Scaffolding in Cádiz
A few months before his death Murillo fell from scaffolding while working on a fresco in the Capuchin church in Cádiz; the fresco was completed by his pupil Francisco Meneses Osorio.
