Original artwork for illustration by Fortunino Matania (1881-1963) of the comedian Harry Lauder on stage performing Roamin' in the Gloamin' in Highland dress on stage at the first Royal Command Performance at the Palace Theatre, London, 1st July 1912. The artwork shows the comedian Harry Lauder on stage performing Roamin' in the Gloamin' at the first Royal Command Performance at the Palace Theatre, London, 1st July 1912. The illustration shows the royal party (King George V, Queen Mary and the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VIII) and members of the audience as well as the act on stage. In the programme Lauder's turn was listed 23rd on a bill of 25 acts (althugh not all apeared).
