In de tijd waarin deze serie ontstond was 'kreupel' een generiek woord om een lichamelijke beperking aan het onderlichaam te beschrijven. Deze serie is sociale satire. Twee bedelaars, één met castagnetten in de handen en de ander met een draailier. De linker heeft een nap aan zijn riem hangen en een bandage om zijn been.
