Sull’opera

Con le parole del museo — in olandese

De godin Luna (Diana) als personificatie van de Maan, met pijl en boog, in een triomfwagen die door nimfen voortgetrokken wordt. Aan haar voeten ligt een schorpioen. Midden boven het teken van de dierenriem dat symbool staat voor haar planetenkinderen: Schorpioen. Beneden op aarde zijn de mensen die onder de invloedssfeer van deze planeet zijn geboren verwikkeld in activiteiten die karakteristiek zijn voor deze tekens. In een haven worden schepen uitgeladen en vis verkocht. In de marge een zestienregelig gedicht, in vier kolommen, in het Latijn dat verwijst naar het metaal zilver dat met de Maan geassocieerd wordt.
