De held Horatius Cocles ten voeten uit, een zwaard opgeheven in de rechterhand, een schild in de linkerhand. Op de achtergrond is te zien hoe hij het op de oever van de Tiber in zijn eentje opneemt tegen een heel leger. Onder de voorstelling twee maal twee versregels in Latijn. Daaronder drie fragmenten. Kopie naar gravure van Hendrick Goltzius uit 1586.
