Prins Genji, een elegant geklede vrouw en een dienstbode, kijkend naar meisje met papier in handen, zittend op kussen, bij komfoor; door de opengeschoven wanden uitzicht op witte bloesem tegen een blauwe achtergrond. Voorstelling omsloten door bruine rand waarin Genji emblemen.
