Christus knielt met opgeheven armen op de Olijfberg en kijkt naar de hemel waar drie putti in zijn visioen verschijnen met een kruis en een miskelk met een hostie. Op de voorgrond liggen de drie discipelen Petrus, Jakobus en Johannes te slapen. Rechtsachter nadert Judas, gevolgd door een groep soldaten. Linksboven staan de keurvorstelijke en hertogelijke wapens van Saksen op twee kleine schilden.
