Le rive della Marna è un dipinto a olio su tela (65 × 81 cm) realizzato tra il 1888 ed il 1890 dal pittore francese Paul Cézanne. È conservato nel Museo dell'Ermitage di San Pietroburgo.

В произведении Сезанна отражение неподвижно, вода напоминает застывшее зеркало. Иное, нежели у импрессионистов, видение мира увело художника от их метода. Сезанн искал в натуре не сиюминутное, а вечное и неизменное. Композиция картины с выделенным центром, обрамленным деревьями, замкнута и стабильна. Мазки, положенные по форме предмета, лепят обобщенные объемы, приближающиеся к простым геометрическим телам. Тональность колорита определена зеленью деревьев и синевой уплотненного волей художника воздуха. Ясность структуры материального мира, выявленная Сезанном, подчеркивает величие природы

Zola's Novel "The Masterpiece" and the Crisis of a Friendship
Zola published "The Masterpiece" (L'Œuvre), a novel about a failed painter, Claude Lantier, in whom Cézanne recognized himself. It was long believed that the friendship ended forever, but a rediscovered letter of 1887 shows that relations continued for some time.
