An unknown Egyptian maker carved this Male Figurine in 3800–3600 BCE, during Naqada I–II A–B; it is in the Louvre, Paris. The standing, bearded man is nude, with an erect phallus and shortened legs. Hippopotamus ivory forms the body, while the eyes are inlaid. The 24 cm figure lacks its forearms and entered as a gift in 1991.
