Hol van most a(z) „Cakes”? National Gallery of Art, Terem 407D · Keleti épület, felső szint, Washington. Igen, most kiállítva. Ellenőrizve 2026. november 2.
Thirteen cakes stand in three rows in Wayne Thiebaud's Cakes of 1963, at the National Gallery of Art in Washington. One has been cut, exposing four yellow layers separated by chocolate frosting. A pink cake at the front carries white piped scallops and a rose. Thick paint builds the icing, while coloured lines trace the contours. Thiebaud scratched his signature into wet paint at the upper right. The canvas hangs in gallery EU-407-D.
