A szoborról
Carved in France around 1310–1330, this ivory Box with Romance Scenes is at the Met Cloisters in New York. Knights bombard the Castle of Love with roses on the lid; other panels tell stories of Tristan, Lancelot and Galahad. The front, lost before 1800 and later rediscovered, pairs Pyramus and Thisbe with Aristotle teaching Alexander and being ridden by Phyllis.
