Peut-on la contempler ?
Londres, Royaume-Uni
Elle appartient à la collection, mais n’est pas présentée en ce moment.
This figure in painted wood depicts the Virgin Mary seated on a folding hair with the baby Jesus, naked, seated on her right knee. She wears a crown and a voluminous mantle and robe which fall in ample folds round her feet. With her left hand she holds out a rounded object to the Child who clasps it with both hands. The carving is rather coarse but the composition is interesting and unusual.
