À propos de la sculpture
This ivory statuette, made in about 1700, perhaps comes from a crucifixion group, and almost certainly represents St John the Evangelist. It could be Portuguese or possibly Indo-Portuguese (Goa), although the European facial features and naturalistic hands imply it is Portuguese.
