Painted by Maurice Wade (1917-1991). Born in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, Wade attended the Burslem School of the Stoke-on-Trent College of Art. He exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Paris Salon and The Royal Society of British Artists and was a Gold Medallist and Exhibitor Hors Concours, Societe des Artistes Francais.
