À propos de la sculpture

Yao Yongkang was widely recognised as a master of studio ceramics, celebrated for originating a unique artistic language that blends Jingdezhen’s figurine tradition with the fluid expressiveness of Chinese freehand painting. He was known for his spirited, expressive figures sculpted from clay sheets that were casually snipped, rolled, pinched, stacked and carved, capturing a sense of carefree vitality and artistic freedom.
