À propos du tableau

For Nakahashi, the urban landscape of New York City served as creative stimuli for many of his subjects, which often featured some of the city’s well-known landmarks. This watercolor is named for Rockefeller Center, the prominent complex of Art Deco commercial buildings located in Midtown Manhattan. The scene is reminiscent of other known drawings and studies of Nakahashi’s designs for an imaginary sculpture garden, an installation he called “My One Man Show.”
