Peut-on la contempler ?
Londres, Royaume-Uni
Elle appartient à la collection, mais n’est pas présentée en ce moment.
This relief was originally part of a two-sided medallion commemorating the death of Jakob Philip Adler of Augsberg, who died in 1553. It is to his death in that year that this allegory alludes. The medallion was formerly in the Spitzer collection in Paris and by 1891 it had been sawn into two, and the halves became separated at the sale in 1893.
