Voorstelling van een half geopende oester op een strand. Regen valt op de parel die in de oester ligt. Rechts drie mannen. Boven en onder deze prent Latijnse en Franse teksten in boekdruk. Dit blad is onderdeel van de embleemserie 'Leven van Maria in emblemen'. De eerste staat van deze serie behelst naast een titelpagina en 26 emblemen ook drie bladen met lofzangen op Maria in boekdruk zonder afbeelding.
