Louise Bourdon worked in miniature, pastel, enamel, and engraving. She studied with Jean-Baptiste Weyler, her first husband, in Strasbourg, and exhibited in Paris from 1789. From 1795 onwards, following her second marriage to Francois Rene Kugler, she exhibited under the name Mme Kugler.
