Christus rijdt zittend op de rug van een ezel langs een menigte mensen richting de stadspoort van Jerusalem. Een man trekt zijn mantel uit en achter de ezel loopt een veulen. Boekillustratie in rechthoekige omlijsting met fijne ornamenten. De prent is gedrukt met meerdere houtblokken. Bovenaan het blad staat de halve titel van de uitgave: Passional Christi, onderaan staat het woord Christus.

Together with his business partner, the goldsmith Christian Döring, he was responsible for publishing the September Testament — Luther's translation of the Bible with illustrations by Cranach.
