À propos de l’œuvre
David Cox (1783-1859) was a leading watercolourist of his generation. This early work from 1807 is a view of Windsor but echoes the work of the admired 17th-century landscape painter, Gaspard Dughet, whose oil paintings Cox is known to have copied.
