À propos de l’œuvre

Baltasar Carlos is a 1778 print Goya made after Velázquez, now in the National Gallery of Art, Washington. The boy rides a horse, wearing a broad-brimmed hat and a sash across his chest. This first-edition impression was printed in the Calcografía during 1778–1779. It combines drypoint with etching on heavy laid paper and belongs to the Rosenwald Collection. It is off display.
