À propos de l’œuvre
The sculptor Alison Wilding was born in Blackburn, Lancashire in 1948. She studied at Ravensbourne College of Art (1967-70) and the Royal College of Art (1970-73). She also creates drawings, not as preparatory studies for sculpture but as independent works of art. Her drawings are not based on observation but on abstract ideas of form and space. This expressive drawing reflects Wilding's preoccupation with dual forms, with inside and outside spaces, and with the relationship between one shape and another.
