La vida entera
  1. 1900

Triumph of "Salome" at the Berlin Secession

After the Munich Secession refused to exhibit "Salome," Corinth decided to leave Munich; in July 1900 the painting became the focus of the second Berlin Secession exhibition, and, in his own words, he became "a big name" in Berlin.

  2. 14 October 1901

Opening of an Art School in Berlin

Corinth's art school opened in his studio on Klopstockstrasse; its first pupil was the 21-year-old Charlotte Berend, who became his constant model.

  3. 1901

    Solo Exhibition at Paul Cassirer's

Paul Cassirer organized a special exhibition of Corinth's works; a year later the artist was elected to the board of the Berlin Secession.

  4. 26 de marzo de 1903

    Married: Charlotte Berend-Corinth

  5. 26 March 1903

    Marriage to Charlotte Berend

He married his first pupil, Charlotte Berend, who took the double surname Berend-Corinth; on 13 October of the same year their son Thomas was born, and family life became a major theme of his art.
