Sobre la obra
De Boodt commissioned the Delft flower painter Elias Verhulst to create many botanical drawings for his albums. De Boodt was not entirely satisfied with the result. According to him, Verhulst made little effort to accurately depict the flowers. Perhaps that is why this plant has not been identified thus far. What do these stems with leaves belong to?
