La vida entera
  1. 1964

First living woman artist with a Louvre retrospective

Sonia Delaunay became the first living female artist to have a retrospective exhibition at the Louvre; Alberto Magnelli told her that she and Braque were the only living painters to have been shown there.

  2. 1964

A gift to the Musée National d'Art Moderne

Sonia and her son Charles donated 114 works by Sonia and Robert Delaunay to the Musée National d'Art Moderne.

  3. 1965

A cubist-style deck of playing cards

A deck of playing cards with cubist-style designs was published in Germany from Sonia Delaunay's sketches (Bielefelder Spielkartenfabrik).

  4. 1966

    Publishes “Rythmes-Couleurs”

Sonia published “Rythmes-Couleurs” (Colour-Rhythms), with 11 of her gouaches reproduced as pochoirs and texts by Jacques Damase.

  5. 25 February – 5 April 1967

Decorates a Matra 530 for an exhibition of artists' cars

For the exhibition “Five Cars Personalised by Five Contemporary Artists”, organised by the journal Réalités to raise funds for French medical research, Sonia decorated a Matra 530 whose pattern optically recomposed into a light blue shade in motion, so as not to distract other drivers.
