  1. 1914–1918

    Fights as a soldier in the First World War

    During the First World War he fights as a German soldier in France and Russia.

  2. after 1918

    Becomes a professor at the Breslau Academy

    After the war he becomes a professor at the Academy of Arts in Breslau (now Wrocław) and teaches there until his death in 1930. Among his pupils are Johnny Friedlaender and Isidor Ascheim.

  3. 1922

    Married: Elsbeth Herbig-Mueller
