Ceres zit als personificatie van de zomer op een wolk en is omgeven door drie gepersonifieerde maanden die fruitmanden, olijftakken en graan aandragen. Ceres wordt gekroond met een krans van graan, in haar handen houdt ze een brandende toorts en een sikkel.

    After moving to the Spinhuissteeg, he became a member of the literary society Nil Volentibus Arduum, which apparently met at his house from 1676 to 1681.

    Paintings for Soestdijk Palace

    He painted pictures for the decoration of Soestdijk Palace; in this period he also created stage sets for the theater and drawings for the theatrical works of Andries Pels and the collector Gerrit Reynst.
