About the work

View of a field outside the walls of Vicovaro. A stone bridge with three arches runs along the left side towards a stone building at the entrance to the Roman city, partially obstructed by trees. Behind the building sits the stone wall that surrounds the city. A small group of cows graze in the field in the foreground.
