Venus probeert Adonis te weerhouden op jacht te gaan. De naakte Venus heeft haar armen om Adonis heen geslagen. Adonis staat echter met speer en jachthonden klaar om te vertrekken. Links ligt Amor te slapen onder een boom. Rechtsboven een tekstvak met opdracht in het Italiaans.
