May one see it?
London, United Kingdom
The owner is known. Whether it is on view today, the museum does not say, and we were not trained to guess.
This egg-shaped ceramic sculpture has raised, smooth areas amidst a textured background where the colours are mottled with black. Born in Korea, Bae Jin-hwan has lived and studied in the United States, and is known for multi-coloured sculptural forms. This piece was donated to the V&A in 1994 as part of a group of contemporary Korean studio pots selected by Professor Shin Sang Ho.
