London, United Kingdom
It belongs to the collection, but is not on display at present.
This equestrian figure of a young man riding a dappled grey horse represents the Grand Dauphin, the eldest son of Louid XIV. He wears a red cloak lined with white over plate body armour below which shows the full skirt of a long embroidered coat. His red breeches are partly covered by long leather boots and in his right hand he holds a baton decorated with fleurs de lys and on his head there is a feathered tricorne hat. The order of St. Esprit is suspended on a scarf at his side.
