Летний пейзаж с тропинкой на первом плане, уходящей справа налево вглубь композиции и небольшими на ней лужицами. Слева лесной цветок. По сторонам высокие стройные сосны со срезанными композиционно по верху верхушками, освещенные вверху. Небо светлое, снизу подсвеченное зарей, с низкой линией горизонта. Слева внизу подпись автора и дата: И. Шишкинъ 1983 г.

He lost his second wife, the painter Olga Lagoda-Shishkina; he went through an emotionally difficult period and for some time could not work, until the urge to create brought him back to life.

Birth of His Daughter Ksenia
Shishkin and his second wife, the landscape painter Olga Lagoda, had a daughter, Ksenia; after her mother's death she was raised by Olga's sister Victoria Lagoda.
