About the sculpture

Standing, draped statuette with fan. Chiton visible from knees down. Thin himation draped around upper body, hips. Melon-style hair in bun. Holding fan with painted decoration. Figurine stands fairly straight with weight shifted slightly to left. Right leg bent slightly awkwardly beneath drapery, both feet visible beneath chiton. Head bowed, smiling. Right arm crossed over chest, left arm bent, resting on waist. On small, chipped base. Small, square firing hole. Figurine in good general condition. Fan reattached, probably not original due to dissimilar remnants of original fan. Red pigments in hair, white slip on skin, pink on himation and yellow stripe with some surviving gilding. Traces of yellow, red, and gilding on fan. Some yellow on chiton.
