In the museum's own words — in Dutch

Springbokken, op de achtergrond de bergen van de Bruintjieshoogte. Tekening gemaakt tijdens de tweede reis van Hendrik Swellengrebel, naar het noordoosten van de Kaapkolonie, 10 september - 26 december 1776. Volgens het reisjournaal werd op 8 oktober 1776 door het reisgezelschap gejaagd op springbokken.
