In the museum's own words — in Dutch

Het schip van de apostelen. Galei met Christus, de apostelen, de vier aartsengelen, de vier evangelisten en kerkhervormers. Aan het roer negen apostelen, op de boeg de evangelisten en Johannes de Doper. Centraal Christus met het kruis en passiewerktuigen als hoeksteen. Uit zijn wonden stroomt het bloed op de viering van de eucharistie en in het doopvat met water waarin een kind wordt gedoopt. Boven Christus de duif van de Helige Geest en in de wolken God de Vader. Tussen de tien kerkvaders en kerkhervormers die de riemen aan de zijkant van het schip bemannen bevinden zich Luther en Melanchthon, wat wijst op een luthers perspectief van de voorstelling. Vanuit het water wordt het schip aangevallen door de huidige vijanden van de christelijke kerk en tegenstanders uit de Bijbel en de oudheid.
