About the sculpture
Statueta, influențată de decorativismul reprezentanților Art Nouveau, înfățișează un nud de femeie îngenuncheată, într-o poziție contorsionată: toată greutatea corpului este dispusă pe picioarele aflate sub ea, torsul acesteia descrie un semicerc perfect, măinile sunt îndoite și unite pe spate ținând capul Sf. Ioan Botezătorul, iar capul Salomeei încheie arabescul sprijinindu-se pe genunchi.
