A la izquierda, figura femenina de pie, de espaldas, representada hasta las rodillas. Lleva vestido y sombrero a la cabeza, que gira hacia la derecha, mirando hacia abajo. Está junto a un murete que vemos que hace esquina delante de la mujer, viendo otra parte del muro a la derecha. Junto a la mujer varios rasguños rápidos y sinuosos. A la derecha, tras el muro, el mar y la línea del horizonte, y frente a él, varios rasguños de figuras. En el reverso se ha copiado por contacto el dibujo con Nº Inv. 12097.

Moves to Madrid: large canvases for the salons
The family moved to Madrid. For the next decade Sorolla concentrated on large canvases of orientalist, mythological, historical and social subjects for salons and international exhibitions in Madrid, Paris, Venice, Munich, Berlin and Chicago.
