About the painting

The painting shows Point Pleasant, Pennsylvania, looking south along both the Pennsylvania and New Jersey shores. The Delaware River runs through the center of the painting with the "White Cliffs" of the New Jersey side off to the left. A small barn is on the Pennsylvania side, and the observer is looking from the Pennsylvania side down a steep hill with trees. The ground is covered in snow.
