Cei câțiva copaci din prim plan sunt pictați în tușe mărunte, alăturate de verde divers, ocru, brun pentru a sugera vibrația frunzelor de plop. Este lucrată cu interes pentru redarea mișcării, pe un fundal de liniște, indus de peisajul de luncă din planul secund.
