Caritas ligt onder een baldakijn op kussens in een landschap. Drie naakte jongetjes spelen met haar en klimmen op haar rug en benen. Een jongetje drinkt van haar borst. Een ander jongetje houdt een vogel in zijn hand. Caritas draagt een diadeem op haar hoofd, een doek bedekt haar middel en benen.

Cort's first engravings were published in Antwerp around 1553; their publisher was Hieronymus Cock, with whom Cort may also have studied engraving.

Move to Venice, Living in Titian's House
In 1565–1566 Cort lived in Venice in the house of Titian, who immediately recognized his abilities and gave him his finest paintings to reproduce.

Roman School of Engravers and Work for Lafreri
In Rome he worked extensively for the publishing house of Antonio Lafreri and founded a famous school of engravers that produced a whole line of skilled masters; his manner was later developed by Agostino Carracci.
