Man met baard lezend in een boek dat hij met beide handen vasthoudt. Profiel naar rechts. Mogelijk de heilige Jozef of Hiëronymus. Op het blad onder de prent gemonteerd een uitgeknipt fragment uit het boek 'Cornelis Troost en zijn werken'.
