About the sculpture

In the museum's own words — in Dutch

Hij staat op een grondje met het rechterbeen iets naar voren en met de gebogen armen voor zich uit, de rechterhand houdt hij omhoog. Op het krullende haar, dat tot op de schouders neerhangt, een baret, met schuin daarop een tweede hoofddeksel, waarvan de afhangende banden voor de borst zijn samengeknoopt. hij draagt een harnas en maliën; van de schouders hangt een van een pelskraag voorziene mantel af, die onder beide armen is opgenomen en van achteren tot op de grond hangt. Van rechterheup tot linkerdij loopt een riem.
