Königer gewann 1754 den ersten Preis an der Wiener Akademie der bildenden Künste für eine Gruppe desselben Themas, wobei das Material nicht überliefert ist. Die Zuschreibung an den Künstler hat Karl Garzarolli von Thurnlackh aus stilistischen Gründen vorgenommen. – [Georg Lechner, 3/2009]
