De Heilige Livarius, gekleed in een harnas, staat in een landschap met zijn afgehakte hoofd in zijn handen. Op de achtergrond is te zien hoe hij onthoofd wordt in het bijzijn van een leger. Onder de voorstelling een onderschrift in Latijn.
